As much as i wanted to update my blog, would love to post all the finish product but due to poor Supervision, improper workmanship, and non complaince with relevant standards, It has been marked as "House is incomplete"! or should i say failed.
Got an independent inspection and wouldnt even thought the the report will be about 25 pages. Didnt even want to open it in the first place.. anyways, to make the story short... Got about 60 defects/incomplete works including major isues like a water leak to the living room coming from the balcony, window glass cracked and more.. =(
Escalated this matter to the Manager.. and the next day.. three vans are working on site.. PCI has been moved next week. Not even sure if they will finish everything. finger's crossed. i wouldnt want to pick up any more to delay the handover. Hope everyone else building experience wouldnt be as bad as we had. Please stay tune...

How dissapointing. So you HAD PCI already and had an inspector with you? Or you had an inspector go through before official PCI?
ReplyDeleteI hope they rectify things quickly - although our build is not moving quickly at all - we started 2 weeks after you, also a Laguna 36.
It is indeed! Been checking ur blog too ang looking gr8. Orig pci was 1st week of march then it keeps moving.
ReplyDeletePCI was supposed to be thursday with the inspector but for some reason my SS didnt call me back and instead.... SS let the inspector checked the house on friday. That was even worst considering PCI was thursday and i wouldnt even thought of getting an inspecion done coz the house looks okay to me. if it wasnt for the inspection,I would have released the final payment with our house being 3/4 done. Another 600 bucks for re-inspection. Hope eveything is going well with you.

Originally 1st week of March - wow - that would've been quick. As Im sure you read on my blog our SS "thought" we'd have PCI last week March, then first week April - now we still don't have a date..

Its funny how we have an identical house. Same facade and near the same external colours. Although you had MB Balcony which we didnt include and wouldhv expected to see our home to be finished earlier.
This is funny though - after all the drama last week.. visited the Site today and saw people doing finishing touch...been told that we're not suppossed to be in the house before handover. LOL! Weve been booted out from our own House due to OH&S. I wouldnt want to say anything as they probably dont know what theyre saying.. i just let them finish their job..
ohh wait talking about OH&S - The lady doing the painting was pregnant and i was like ohh dear!

Sounds like they are working hard to fix things up at your place, so I hope it passes PCI this time around!
Yes. The Painters! it was a very difficult one to deal with though. PCI is now this wednesday. Looking forward to it. Hope you get yours too.
